The Body
Shop Foundation The Foundations was set up in 1990. Since
then it has donated in excess of £5million in grants and gifts-in-kind
support. Priority funding areas include human & civil rights, the
environment and animal protection. The Foundation also covers U.K. administrations
costs of its two core projects, Brazilian Health Care Project and Children
on the Edge. It does not accept unsolicited proposals.
Tamaro
Foundation The Foundation promotes humanitarian and educational
projects. It was established in October 2000 by Italian author Susanna
Tamaro, and is a sub-foundation of the Zurich-based institution Limmat
Stiftung. The Foundation supports projects for children youth, elderly
and women. It has no geographical restrictions.
United
States Institute of Peace Financial support in the range
of $25,000 to $45,000 is available for research, education and training,
& the dissemination of information on international peace & conflict
resolution. Eligible non-profit organizations may include institutions
of post-secondary, community and secondary education.

of US$250,000 in three categories – the Environment, International

to improving people’s lives by sharing advances in health and learning
with the global community.

Alexander
von Humboldt Foundation A non-profit foundation established
by the Federal Republic of Germany for the promotion of international
research cooperation.

Music and Art Foundation makes grants to facilitate the improvement
and dissemination of the visual and performing arts, as well as the study

The
Cottonwood
Foundation is dedicated to promoting empowerment of people,
protection of the environment & respect for cultural diversity. The
Foundation awards grants in the $500 to $10,000 range.
The Nippon
Foundation Under its Overseas Cooperative Assistance program,
funds are provided for activities planned and conducted by overseas non-profit
organizations in such areas as human needs, human resource development
& the promotion of international cooperation.
The Synergos
